February Fifteenth – Long Conversation #15

Posted on February 16, 2012

I love you, the man says to the woman.

The woman will not believe him. She cites a long list of reasons why he doesn’t actually love her but he is not listening all that well. Sometimes it is easy to confuse love and admiration, she says as she finishes her list.

But I love you, he says. What I am feeling is admiration AND love, he says.

She gives him an orange, which is very sweet, and tells him to suck on the fruit until the pain is gone. By then his teeth rot out of his mouth and no one wants anything to do with him.
