The Blue Ribbon – Comfort #783

Posted on December 13, 2011

He had been drinking a lot of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.  Because that specific brand of beer made him irresistible to women, and quite virile, he had fathered around thirty-two children by the time his friends and loved ones held an intervention. We think you need to stop drinking so much, they said. You should focus on raising your children and on raising the child support necessary to avoid prison. I’ll do no such thing, he said. He was having far too much fun. Eventually he fathered so many children that they turned on him and devoured him, a common fate many parents share. His friends and loved ones wrote a book about the experience to serve as a cautionary tale about drinking too much of the Pabst Blue Ribbon, a beer full of hubris and  yet nectar of the gods.
