How to Hide the Foundation – Advice #252

Posted on November 26, 2011

Hello little boy. What do you want to be when you grow up? Say what? An old house? An empty, old house? That’s a silly idea.  Someday the bulldozers will prowl the neighborhood. Someday the dozers will tear apart all the vacant houses to make way for new opportunities. Your only chance will be to invest in boards to hide the broken windows and the missing doors. Hire some kids to paint them and nail them to you. A disguise is a good thing. The dozers will stop and inspect you, but they have terrible sight and maybe, just maybe, they will not notice the cracks in your foundation. An old house? An empty, old house? You would be better as an apple pie, or maybe a wristwatch, or a rusty pot.
