Thanksgiving Night – Curse #6321

Posted on November 24, 2011

He dreams that he is buried in snow.  A hole melts and he can peer out. There is a sign that he cannot read clearly. Snow is still falling. If he squints he thinks maybe it reads welcome. Welcome.  As if to welcome him to winter with it’s chills and ice.  So his heart grows heavy because he is buried in all of this snow and more is coming and winter has become self aware and is welcoming him. Then he remembers he is in fact dreaming.  This dream, he says to himself, is due to the turkey dinner. He is merely suffering from turkey induced visions. These visions are the last laugh, gobble, revenge of the turkey. His punishment for gluttony. And so he lays beneath the pile of snow and waits for the day after Thanksgiving to begin.
