Public Policy – Comfort #757T

Posted on November 13, 2011

At the city hall meetings there are all these children and they are chewing gum and swinging baseball bats and complaining about the adults on the playgrounds. The adults have been losing their jobs and now they have nothing better to do than to swing on the monkey bars and spin on the merry-go-rounds. One of the more frequent complaints is that the adults love to go back up the slides the wrong way. There is going to be conflict, the children cry. There is going to be crying, the children say. You better ban the adults from the playground, the children demand. The children do not yet have frontal lobes. They cannot think strategically. Meanwhile the bureaucrats at city hall, the ones with the well developed brains, know that they too will be unemployed soon.
