The instructions said to tie the waist with cord so she tied his waist with cord. She was following the directions meticulously. Alright, she said. We’re finished. You can get up. He got up. She turned him around and checked him out. Nice, she said, if I do say so myself. She whistled pleasantly at him and slapped him on the butt. She knew that this one was made with spare parts, that he probably had at least one clinical personality disorder, and that he was infested with bed bugs. That didn’t matter for now. He would make a good practice husband. And he had far less wrong with him than most preassembled men.
