How to Survive a Summer Heat – Advice #442

Posted on July 24, 2011

After I complained about the weather for five days straight my landlord finally had enough.

He locked me in the boiler.

I still had my cell phone and for the next five days I continued to call. It’s hot down here, I would say.

Good, he would say. I hope you melt.

But the weather is still more hideous, I would say. I do not think we will survive this heat wave.

On the sixth day my phone battery died, but I could hear thunder and raindrops and the hope in my chest began to grow anew.
