Duct Tape Time Out – Curse #490

Posted on July 23, 2011

This is absurd, he says to her.

No, she says. No it is not. You have been a terror. You need some time to think about the things you have done.

He struggles, but only a little. He knows there is little use in struggling against duct tape.

I will not be kept in the attic, he says.

She pulls at the duct tape and a smile breaks out on her face. It is the sound of the tape pulling apart that brings such delight.

You are so damn sassy, he says to her. So god damn sassy. And absurd!

She walks over and places the tape over his mouth, patting it to make sure it sticks.

He says, MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmM!  MMMM!

This translates into: what the hell?

She wags a finger at him. If you hadn’t tried to escape, she says, and you hadn’t been so loud and obnoxious all day, you wouldn’t be in this situation.

She turns to climb down the attic ladder. There are things she must attend to.

He says, mmmMMmmMmmm!

This roughly translates into a sentiment of regret, but over what cannot be precisely determined.
