The End of Scrabble Night – Curse #4960

Posted on July 4, 2011

Trephen, he exclaimed. It’s when they drill a hole in someone’s head!

No, the rest of the players said. It’s not spelled like that.

You aren’t understanding, he said. It’s when you put a HOLE in your HEAD. TREPHEN.

No, one person said. We get it. It’s just spelled wrong.

No, he said. No it’s not!

Yes, it is, they said.

He got up and left the room. He came back with a power drill. He held it up so they could see it.

Do I have to show you, he said. Do I need to demonstrate?

Everyone was alarmed. He had been known to cut growths and in-grown toenails off of his body. A hole in the head, right in the middle of a party of close friends, could be feasible.

He won the game, but people started to decline invitations to Scrabble night.
