Wanderlust – Curse #6582

Posted on March 24, 2011

Dressed in a fashionable bathing suit, she lay behind the fifth floor window of Sal’s Woman Store. Her blood pressure had begun to rise. This was because she had broken a personal rule, she had just looked down. She had a rule to always avoid three things in life: men without eyebrows, her belly growing, and heights. Now here she was, looking down at people on the street, fearful of the uncertain things in life — like the future, boredom, and gravity.

The pedestrians saw only a beautiful living advertisement. And that smile, one woman would say, look at that breathtaking smile. All of the pedestrians held the fifth floor woman in high esteem, not unlike an elephant in a glass cage at the zoo, to be looked upon but never allowed to wander.
