Breaking Rank – Advice #0294

Posted on March 9, 2011

Maybe you are a piece of candy and maybe you are marching in a line with a dozen other candies.  Maybe you spent six months in a plastic bag with no oxygen, no room to walk around, until a giant releases you and your friends and then puts you in this nice, neat line to march quietly into his wide open mouth. Maybe you get a little nervous. Maybe you break and run, removing symmetry from the line. And maybe you get away, but maybe you don’t and the giant squishes you with a heavy fist. But with all these hypotheticals you know one thing is certain — in this society we treat candy with a degree of wild inhumanity.
