Zoologist Parents – Curse #32JO

Posted on January 5, 2011

Aren’t you glad mom and dad were jungle zoologists?

They found us feeding on a tribe of wild hippos and in the same breath said: “Oh my, look at those two. Such strong jaws! Such fine specimens!”

They tamed us using chairs with gnawed legs and Saturday morning cartoons. They fed us Golden Grahams and fruit snacks and we grew strong.

I do miss the chimps though. I miss the way we stole their bananas like bullies steal lunch money.

And my mane, my glorious mane, which mom and dad insisted I trim away.

No matter. When I turned twenty five it would have fallen away.
